University of Denver Programming Boarding

The University of Denver Programs Board (DUPB) is responsible for designing, planning, and executing diverse events for the undergraduate student population. DUPB is a programming resource for campus and community organizations to support the growth and development of the University of Denver’s culture and population. DUPB’s events are designed to enhance the students’ college experience by providing stimulating activities beyond the classroom.

DUPB strives to interact with each member of the student body on a weekly basis through diverse programming. To reach this vision, DUPB will work to accomplish the following goals: Create new and exciting opportunities by continually seeking student input. Provide campus and community organizations with information and resources to facilitate successful events Program a balance of small and large scale events that target the desires of the DU population.

DUPB is made up of five committees described below. For more information about any of the committees or DUPB in general feel free to contact any DUPB member!

Concerts

The goal of the concerts committee is to provide undergraduate students the opportunity to experience an amazing concert either right on campus or a nearby venue.

Films

The Films committee shows weekly movies in Davis Auditorium in Sturm Hall every Thursday at 8:00pm. These movies are second-run (before they hit DVD) and are free to all students.

Pioneers Present

This committee was created to satisfy the large programming needs of the University in the Spring quarter. In addition to the May Days Tradition events, the Pioneers Present committee shall program a large event of the students’ choice via survey. Examples may include but are not limited to Speakers, Comedians, Dance Performances, Politicians, etc.

Traditions

The main focus of the Traditions committee is to provide one large event each quarter. Homecoming is in the Fall, Winter Carnival during Winter and May Days in the Spring. These events involve the whole campus.

University Programming Support

UPS is designed to support all other student organizations on campus and work with those organizations in co-programming the best event possible for all undergraduate students.
