Dear Prospective Members,
It is a pleasure to know that you are interested in joining Lambda Chi Alpha. We are a close-knit group of brothers who focus on improving and maintaining a high class and well run chapter. Currently there are over 100 active members in the Alpha Chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha. From engineers to business majors, we have brothers from many different backgrounds. The brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha are not all alike and you are sure to find a great group of friends that you could see being close with the rest of your life.
We, as a fraternity, build our values on the acronym, LDRSHIP. Loyalty within the fraternity is something that every brother takes seriously in that we are always there for our members and are willing to go the extra mile for a brother. Duty speaks towards our efforts in providing growth of the Fraternity. Without every member contributing we are just 100 guys, but because of this effort we are more than that. Every member Respects each other equally as well as the fraternity house itself. Respect is something that each member keeps in the front of their mind, when describing the way we treat others. Service and Stewardship, from Mustache Bash to the North American food drive, are of the many points through out the year where we stop our daily lives and give back. These events really help bring the fraternity together. Honor and Integrity, reflect a brother that must be able to act in the correct way without having to be told to, or needing an advisor over their back to make sure they act correctly. Personal Courage is the self-regulator of our fraternity. Each and every member must have the personal courage to do the right thing and bring it to the awareness of others when they are not acting the correct manor. All of these values are part of a new program called the True Brother Initiative that was put in place to help develop the individual members of the fraternity. If we are able to improve each member individually then the chapter as a whole will benefit in the same manner.
Again it is a pleasure to know that you are interested in joining Lambda Chi Alpha. This fraternity is one of support, great friendship, great fun and experience that will help you develop through out the following four years. If you feel as if the values previously listed are something that you would be interested in learning more about, and feel as if Lambda Chi Alpha is the fraternity best suited for you then we urge you to join. The rush process is very demanding at times, but it generally a blast. There is absolutely NO HAZING ever involved in our process and we stick true to that. We believe that hazing only diminishes the closeness of our Fraternity and therefore do not partake in it. If you have any questions please feel free to contact any member of Lambda Chi Alpha.
